Found Objects
Thursday, August 7, 2008

I love to use old salvage pieces to make new objects. I found two of these shutters in a trash can! I grabbed them up real quick! One of them I have hanging on my living room wall with a wreath on it, and the other I have for sale on my website.
I have several old doors and windows in my basement. I want to make a table out of one of the doors for my craft room. My husband made me some beautiful wrought iron legs for it. I'll just top the door with a cut to size piece of glass. Before I do that, I'm going to decoupage some pics onto the recessed panels of the door. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Some other planned projects are a hall tree from another door, a bench from another, and a few painted window scenes. I have more projects planned than I have time for!

This old white shutter will craft into a one of kind home item. It has flakey paint. The piece is approximately 15 inches wide and 3 feet tall. Great for a Shabby Chic look. Exact shipping charge will be adjusted and charged to you via paypal.

I'll bet the shutter on your wall with the wreath on it looks wonderful! Did you leave the shutter white?

Also - your sidebar doesn't look bad at all with the double button banners!! Good job!
